Tips for Improving Your Search Results

Separate the words in your Search Request with spaces. Logical operators (such as AND, OR or parentheses) should not be used.

Please note that it is not possible to search for multiple phrases or for a specific phrase and one or more specific words. If in doubt, use the default search type of All Words.

If you are looking for multiple versions of the same words, select "Beginning of Word" from the Word Match menu. For example, searching for "corro" with Word Match set to "Beginning of Word" will produce all documents which contain any one of the following: corrode, corrosion, corrosive, corrodes, corroding, etc. Similarly, the "Beginning of Word" is very useful if you are looking for both singular and plural versions of a particular word.

To narrow the range of your search request, use the START and END menus above to select starting and ending dates for your search request.

If you select one or more fields from either Model Type or Model Year, only messages which also include matches in these fields will be returned. Please note that this will exclude all messages posted prior to October 10, 2000 and all other messages where the poster of the original message did not specify a value for the field you are searching. If the Search Request field is left blank, all messages matching the Model Type and/or Model Year fields will be returned. If you are not already familiar with how to use this search engine, we recommend that you select nothing from either of these two menus.
